Hi, I’m Edward Parsons. I’m a highly experienced International Tax Accountant who helps small businesses make effective management decisions and reduce their tax burdens. In addition to serving domestic businesses with standard CPA needs, I’m frequently sought out for my specialties: international taxation and small business catch-up bookkeeping and tax reporting.
I help entrepreneurs and businesses with even the most complex needs that other CPAs are afraid to tackle. This could be anything from unreported foreign assets or income, to back taxes, to disorganized or missing documentation. I work in person with local clients and online for those farther away. Whether it’s a mom-and-pop business, an international firm, or a Fortune 50 company, business owners count on my expertise to help them succeed.
MY SKILLS
A Certified Public Accountant with Big 4 Tax and Fortune 50 Financial Reporting experience I have been representing international tax clients as an Independent CPA since licensed in 2009; I have represented hundreds of clients in cases of unreported income, back taxes – unfiled tax returns, unreported foreign income or assets, OVDP, streamlined filing compliance procedures as well as tax debt negotiation.
My corporate leadership experience includes Controller and Tax Senior roles, in a career strongly influenced by my time at Valley Forge Military Academy.
Strong software skills include advanced Excel, SQL reporting and all major financial reporting and tax software such as Intuit or CCH products (quickbooks, Axcess ). I can leverage on these skills to improve existing processes, such as when I reduced average collection time for a Harvard University business unit from over 90 to under 30 days by designing, building and implementing an automated A/R process built with Crystal Reports (SQL)
